When I am on a journal entry like:
http://use.perl.org/~Ovid/journal/38729
that I decide to bookmark in Firefox, I want the bookmark name default to be:
"Programmatic Enforcement Of Liskov Substitution Principle"
not
"Journal of Ovid (2709)".
Is that so much to ask?
I would even think it is an upgrade to have the _title_ be
"Programmatic Enforcement Of Liskov Substitution Principle"
So, I pray to the gods of perl, and all that will hear me, that my prayers will be answered.
Plus, I hate filing bug reports or upgrade requests.
regards,
etc.
Journal is not a bug tracker etc. pp. (Score:1)
That's a dangerous sentiment to express.
Re: (Score:1)
Have you ever read "slashcode" to try and patch it? Whew!

Your feature request is being ignored over there => http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1772335&group_id=4421&a tid=104421 [sourceforge.net]
Perhaps you could hasten the process by contributing a patch?

"Over there" I see what appears to be a very closely related bug/feature request about search results. I imagine in well-written source code, both could be fixed at the same time. I use the term "feature" in the classic MicroSoft manner- as you say, it is not a bug, so I guess to you changing this would provide an alternative feature to the present code. Although what you point to is labelled "Tracker: Bugs".
I note the author of that entry makes an even better suggestion, of adding the post author's name,
