If they saw a demo of some of Perl 6's features (fibonacci in a single line, for example) they might get excited about the idea of helping with Perl 6 on .NET (see "backend diversity" at http://perlgeek.de/blog-en/perl-6/notes-from-yapc-hackathon.html).
