Sometimes CPAN sucks, because
- Quality of modules vary (CPANTS?)
- There is rarely any common interface, (except DBI or something like that)
Preparing common APIs for enterprise edition seems good, though it is opposed to TMTWTDI slogan in some points.
There Should Be One Great (and common) Way To Do It.
