TPC6, day 0
TPC6, day 0 (sunday) was a travel day. When I got to the conference hotel at noon, I was told my room would not be ready for some time, so I stashed my stuff in Tad's room, and then Tad and I and my friend Jason from Portland (who was in town for unrelated matters) went out for some drinks.
When I returned in the evening, I found many Perl hackers, some of whom I hadn't seen in months, including dha and ingy and aevil and gnat.
I'm typing this in the morning, after a good night's sleep, by propping my new 800 TiBook next to the window so I can see the weak 802.11 signal from a nearby hub.
My plans for this new day (TPC day 1) are to basically kick back, maybe drop in on a tutorial or two, and then attend the "Perl Trainers BOF" this evening.
Oh yeah, and try to get some pictures.
