I have nothing to announce, but since the non-announcement affects my presence at international Perl events, I figured I'd tell you nothing about it. So, don't check it out.
If you read the linked post, I think it becomes clear. The problem is that I'm literally announcing "nothing". But more precisely "nothing" where "something" used to be.
