Iain Campbell Truskett ("Spoon") RIP 2003-12-29
[
#16763
]
According to
his girlfriend's blog
,
Spoon
passed away from a cardiac arrest at the age of 24. He was a
significant contributor to the CPAN
, and frequently interacted with us on the Perl IRC channels.
His wiki
is still up for perusal. He will be missed.
Rest In Peace, my friend.

Spoon and I were regulars on a number of the same channels, and I'd been wondering for some time where he was. What a terrible thing.
He was one of the people, I think, who exemplified the Perl community: competent, friendly, and good-natured. He'll certainly be missed.
