Finland passes US in tech-readiness?

[ #10841 ]
Apparently, Finland just passed the US in tech-readiness.

I suspect it's because they finally noticed that Finland is the source of the CPAN, so they've got the new modules 20 to 60 minutes before the rest of the world.

  • Europe has long had a big lead in the mobile phone industry - text messaging, international roaming, huge selections of tarrifs and vouchers and cards and all kinds.

There are already some major 3g pilots underway with video messaging mobiles and it looks like MM could take off like text messaging.

I keep on seeing cool new mobile phone tech appearing like a company that will text message you the name, band and label of any music you can send through the phone (i.e. hold phone to speaker for 30 seconds).

Nah, that's not why. It's because aevil [perl.org] and jhi [perl.org] just moved there. It's a brain drain!
