Where There's Smoke There's Fire (You'd Think)

[ #6216 ]
So we spent yesterday in a thick haze of smoke, turning the sky a light, light yellow. This was all due to huge forest fires burning in James Bay in Canada, with the smoke plume being blown south into the US.

So you'd think that somebody would have some information on this. I checked various online news sites and NOAA, but could't fine any articles on this. The local meteorologist said it was thick enought to lower temperatures.

So a big chunk of Quebec is burning down and no one cares? Somebody toss me a link (in English, por favor :).
