UK-2-Braga

Apparently next years YAPC is going to be in Braga, which is in north Portugal, looking at the map the nearest airport seems to be Porto (Oporto / OPO), which is apparently a couple of hours away by train ( according to the times travel section ). I'm quite tempted to take my wetsuit and trunks and extend my stay with a view to catching some post and pre conferance waves. Anyone know what the surf is like?

Looking at some travel information, Portugalia ( flypga.com ) seem to fly from there Manchester ( no direct flights from Birmingham by the looks of it :( ) or BA fly from Gatwick, and BAs prices seem quite competitive ( between 70 and 160ish quid, depending on when you fly. ). There are probably a few more too.

Braga is apparently quite a stunning city, with a large university presence so It looks like it might be fun. I hear that the Beer is friendly on the pocket too! Look foward to hearing about the dates so I can get planning...
