It seems like there is a demand for SDL perl in windows. However I have yet to see any code for it. Ok that was mean but really we have been trying to make sdl perl with windows working for a while now. In the end we had to put a

croak "Help us!" if( $^O eq 'MSWin32');

for v2.2.1.8. If there really is an interest for SDL perl on windows come talk to us add sdl-devel@perl.org. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I will provide you will all help needed.

I am a newcomer to perl (3+ months) and I have tried to update and fix bugs on the SDL module. So far we (me and David Goherig) have updated a v2.2.0 module on CPAN (release early and often!). This has made the module go from:

After getting some feedback I was able to make leaps and bounds for release v2.2.1. Therefore I am hoping to get more feedback with this submit. Moreover, please visit SDL perl to see some applications and games you can try (frozenbubble2 being the big one).

The critical area right now is to get the Build working for windows. I have some ideas (mainly Alien::SDL) but I am open to feedback."
