NMap at OSCON??

Nah!! Would anyone take time to scan the wireless here at OSCON?? Hehe, yup, I'm getting quite a few probes. It's dropped off from Day 1, to about 2 an hour. On the first day, looking at a probe every minute or so.. Atleast on the probes I could detect! Given the level of talent here, I hope attendees have their firewalls configged properly!! You are running a firewall, aren't you??

  • I'm surprised at how many passwords per hour are transmitted in the clear. Mostly IMAP/POP3, but occasional HTTP and NNTP(!) and even a MySQL password or two.
