Change the "default" in Sybase

[ #26462 ]

Lots of Googling later, this is how to change the "default" of a table column in Sybase:

alter table mytable
    replace mycolumn default null

No, this intuitive thing doesn't work:

alter table mytable
    modify mycolumn default null

It's in the manual.

  • ALTER TABLE foo ALTER COLUMN bar SET DEFAULT expression;
    Just for the record, in case people google to here!
