Well, it seems like I've arrived in Portland, OR last night. I don't think that I've ever had such a bad journey as I had yesterday. Apart from being a long journey, a lot of things didn't exactly go the way I planned.
Ooops..that's my battery saying it's almost empty, so I'll have to finish this later. I'm now in the Starbucks coffeehouse at Pioneer Square...wonderful initiative...Personal Telco in Portland++

If you're hurting for stuff to do, here's some places I wish I could go to right now. Its all in the SE part of the city since that's what I know.
First off, if you don't mind a little exercise the best way to get around town is on a bike. Rent one. [portland.or.us] You can throw it on a bus if you need to go a long distance.
Free Geek [freegeek.org]. Ask to see the racks of cases, what I call the Matrix Room. "Computers. Lots of computers."
After that walk over to the Lucky Lab [luckylab.com] for some hair of the dog.
