iPod+Nikeplus+ part 12, 1/2 year status

[ #33589 ]

I started running on the 23rd. of December 2006. It is about 1/2 a year ago. So it is time to make a status.

Yesterday I ran my usual 6 km. This resulted in my fastest 5 km so far. Nike+ only does these measurements for a set of predefined distances; 5 and 10 km. and two distances in miles respectively.

So here are my current stats as of yesterday:

6 km. in 28.36 minutes avg. pace: 4.39/km.

I dug op some stats from my journal (Man I miss tags on journal entries) from 26. December 2006:

4.43 km. in 24.04 minutes avg. pace: 5.25/km.

This is a nice improvement. As mentioned in an earlier (recent) journal entry I have laid out a grand plan and my distances have increased.

As things look right now and with the current development, I think completing Copenhagen Marathon in May 2008 will be realistic.

I think next status should be around November 2007 just before the free Sparta marathon training/preparation begins.

I think I forgot to mention, Sparta is a local Copenhagen based athletic club. They organize free marathon preparation in one of the large parks in Copenhagen.
