Eclipse

[ #30237 ]

I somehow got tempted and downloaded Eclipse yesterday. I installed the Perl plugin EPIC, after a few restructurizations everything perlish stopped working, but googling a bit got me back on track.

Apparently you need the development revision of EPIC to work with the latest Eclipse (this does however not explain why it w0rked at first??).

Up to now I can only say nice things about Eclipse as an IDE and it is not as slow as the rumours say.

I will get back with some more details later on, perhaps a comparison with ActiveState's Komodo.
