Date Holidays modules on CPAN

[ #18683 ]

I have just mailed some additions to the author of Date::Holidays::DK. Just out of interest I took at look at the related modules:

Date::Holidays::FR

Date::Holidays::DE

Date::Holidays::UK

Date::Japanese::Holidays

There might be more, but these showed up on my first search and the DK variant is currently of most interest in my little project.

But a few things bother me, the naming convention is not consistant and the methods exported are not completely uniform.

So there might be more work for me in order to get all the modules integrated with my little project :)

  • Someone should write some equivalent DateTime::Event::Holiday modules, methinks. They could just be wrappers around the existing modules where there were some. This'd provide a nice consistent API.
    • That might be the solution to my problem, but I will try to send patches to the module authors of the existing modules first I think.

      Maintaining such a wrapper suite might be a lot of work :)
