I want to migrate from use.perl to someplace nicer. Where should I go? Is there a blog migration protocol so RSS gets some kind of automatic redirect? People seem to find my blog through use.perl - how do I get into the appropriate aggregators?
My blog (Mechanical Revolution [mechanicalrevolution.com]) runs on a CMS I wrote myself (Miril [cpan.org]) and is hosted on Hostgator [hostgator.com]. Nothing beats use.perl.org in terms of traffic it generates though. If you post regularly, you can join the Iron Man Challenge, but it won't give the same level of visibility to your blog. There are also http://planet.perl.org/ [perl.org] and http://perlsphere.net/ [perlsphere.net], but I have not figured out how to join them yet [mechanicalrevolution.com].
I wanted to set up a shared perl blogging for almost half a year now. I've got a nice domain name (perlblog.org), and soon I'll also have a decent server (4 cores, 2GB RAM, root access) at my disposal.
What I need is tuits, and an idea what to install. If you want to help me, please write me an email (moritz at faui2k3 dot org) so that we can discuss details, give you access to that server etc.
I'd really love to see a nice, central(ish) site for perl blogging - having everyone sca
I'd say talk to Dreamwidth and start with their code - I happen to like the LiveJournal code base, and using that means that OpenID support - both as a provider and a consumer - is integrated.
But that's me.

I've been meaning to write some Web::Scraper to post to here for me. My take on it is that one must cross post in this day and age. Obviously some sites would get cut down versions of articles.

Well, first of all, you will have to fix your feed [feedvalidator.org] – currently it’s unsubscribable.
