No Turning Back

[ #7477 ]

Wrestling my muse using collegiate rules, I've recorded a new song called No Turning Back. If you like 6/8 and grutuitous samples of Waiting for Guffman and Coltrane, this is your cup of tea! I'm generally happy with the mix on this one, but I'm certain it'll sound funky on your system.

Gosh, I did listen to a criminal amount of Floyd in high school. Is it that obvious? I like almost all Floyd before Division Bell. The version of this song that I recorded ten years ago was a lot more like Floyd: very loud guitars with a lot of reverb.

You might also hear some strains of Yes and King Crimson in my recordings.

BTW: the tuba samples that can be heard in distored guitar sections are from Dead and Gone #1: Funeral Marches (#2 can be found here [amazon.com]).
