First gcc 3.x distro

LFS seems to call for gcc 3.1 in the latest CVS version of the book. As far as I know, it's the first distribution (if you can call it a distribution?) to use gcc 3. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) Maybe that means the others will follow. It's neat to see LFS acting as the innovator and early adopter. (In much the same way it was neat to me to see RedHat go out on a limb last year with GRUB and ext3 in 7.2.)
