Fastest Amazon order ever

[ #36172 ]

Mid-Monday afternoon I ordered a book from Amazon. I chose regular USPS shipping. Amazon told me the book would ship the next day and arrive up to 5 days later.

It arrived Tuesday at 12:02.

I'm still in awe over this. We moved to a mostly rural part of Texas; the middle of nowhere, as my wife described it when I first met her and she was living here. Are we yards away from a secret Amazon warehouse?

  • Either that, or it's possible your order was "drop shipped" from an upstream provider and never even went through their warehouse, and the drop shipper happened to be near you.
