Thought question

Why do so many otherwise intelligent and eloquent people want to spell "amendment" with two m's?

  • Merrian-Webster thinks amendment has two m's. Perhaps you meant three, as in "ammendment"?
    • Uh, yeah. Three. :)

      (Two consecutive m's, then.)
