HH24

[ #16595 ]

In the last two months I've been bitten at least eight times by the fact that in an Oracle TO_DATE or TO_CHAR function call, the 'HH' conversion code produces (and expects) a 12 hour time instead of a 24 hour time. I'm trying to decide whether it's Oracle or myself that's brain damaged. Given that each of these confusions has cost me about an hour of wasted debugging time, I've wasted an entire day due to the fact that I haven't learned this. Maybe the most recent frustration today will be enough to make me remember.
