Privacy sucks? No, mozilla does!

[ #36009 ]

I'm admittedly still using firefuck^H^H^Hox.
Once you decide to search for extensions... you might be able to find some, but don't expect you'll be able to just install them.
No! In order to download the plugin you need to register... §Q$&{/§%?$%!!

I can hardly think of any reason why the mozilla people scare away their users...
expect for money.

  • What is this registration of which you speak...
    • Tools -> Add-ons -> Get extensions -> search for ``snapper'' -> try to ``Add to Firefox''.

      As written already, it's because of the plugins experimental state. I still fail to undestand why this could be intended...
  • I have never registered anywhere in order to install an extension, and I use many of them.

  • I have never had to register for an extension. Do you use the official site?
  • ... so they don't install experimental versions and whine later on.

    ``Guns don't kill people, ...''

    Also, try to file a bug without an account...
    • Better than Bugzilla getting saturated with spam... Futhermore, registered users generate better bug reports. If you can't be bothered to register, you also probably can't be bothered to test if the bug you report is reproducible.
