[ #8021 ]

My server went boom. According to mugwump, who admins the thing, something went Very Wrong(tm) late at night with LVM which proceeded to promptly overwrite the entire filesystem.

And he hadn't got regular backups working yet.

Luckily, a backup was made before moving to this server from the old one, so I haven't lost everything. Just everything I've done in the last three months or so: all my mail from that period, all the latest versions of my sites (like Grubstreet), wikibot, the RSS-reading front page of everything. Great.

(I don't have a computer at home, so I can't make backups of anything. Fun, huh?)

Well, I suppose this will be an incentive for me to make wikibot again, but to do it better this time, and God knows that's a good reason to, because it could sure have been a whole lot better.

A few minutes ago I whipped up a small mbox_sha1sum maker for the FOAF project.
