Perl Training

[ #1565 ]

OK, it was my first time. And I loved it.

I had to teach some programmers from ABN Amro Bank how to use Perl. It was a 40h course going from Perl basics to DBI, GD and mod_perl.

My students told me they liked a lot of what they've seen and that Perl was going to help them solving several things that they now use C for.

Unfortunately, they are still tied to MS Windows world, but soon they will be (more) enlightened. They've met Perl and Linux and they've seen their power.

I wished I could be teaching more Perl. I've also learnt some things (as we always do when we teach people) that will make some programs easier. :-)

That's it... A full week.
