Bioinformatics on my O'Reilly Network weblog
In case you're wondering where my interest in bioinformatics went, the answer is "to the O'Reilly Network". On my weblog there, I've been putting lots of pointers to interesting molecular biology and bioinformatics articles. They're all part of my research for the Bioinformatics conference that's been sucking a lot of my time.
The other thing sucking my time is the SOAP book. My executive editor, Paula, had some amazingly useful comments. Things that I'd overlooked, things that I'd said "screw it, I'll wait for QC1 to fix" but which have to be fixed before the book goes into production, and so on. The good part was that her advice was detailed and general-enough that I could learn from it. The bad part was that I now have a day's work to do on a book that was supposed to be in weeks ago. Aargh!
In other news, the baby sleeps three hours at a time (YAY) and my parents are moving to our town (DOUBLE YAY).
