Avian Cellular Automata
Andy Wardley's first Parrot code implements a cellular automaton from Stephen Wolfram's "A New Kind of Science" (which I started reading in the crapper today before I realized that I don't have a digestive tract long enough to hold the amount of food it would take to occupy me long enough to make it through Chapter 1, let alone the whole book).
