Yes, it's that time again. That time when Nat's sanity starts to unravel! As if working on the Bioinformatics conference wasn't enough, the Open Source Convention is rolling around again.

It'll be in San Diego (same hotel--we had a 2 year contract), July 22-26. I'm going to try to squeeze everything into one wing of the hotel this time, so you won't have to walk from one end of Hell to the other just to get from your Apache talks to your Python talks (I know how much you love those Python talks :-)

We're working on the CFP this weekend, which should go up next week. Current ideas for the tracks are: Perl (including mod_perl), Apache, XML, Java, PHP, Python, Operating Systems (Linux, BSD, OS X), and Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc). And, of course, the ever-popular Emerging Topics track (that's where Dave Stutz from Microsoft talked about shared source .NET, and Miguel de Icaza talked about Mono in 2001).

I've got some kickass ideas for who to approach for keynotes but if you have suggestions, please send them to me (gnat@oreilly.com).

Over and out,
