My life is a comedy

[ #14109 ]

It has to be, maybe even a tragic comedy. How else would you explain the fact that the control panel needed for my server cooling unit (I'm trying to find more ominous sounding names rather than AC unit to describe the AC unit for my server room) was shipped FedEx ground instead of overnight?

So, for the second day we went with Plan B. We will go with Plan B again tomorrow as well. No telling when that damn part will show up.

The sad thing is that I could have driven to where the part was being delivered from and back in about 10 hours. At the very least I could have driven there, stayed the night, and driven back and could have had the part here yesterday. I sometimes wonder why I don't act on impulse more. Oh yeah, that's right I would have hunted down the person that ordered the part once I found out they didn't make it clear to the manufacturer that we needed it yesterday.
