In this lecture, Professor Lessig will describe the struggle to define the limits of copyright law in America today. He will discuss the changes that the internet creates for copyright regulation, and some of the efforts to rebalance the law in light of these changes. Professor Lessig will also discuss his recent argument before the Supreme Court in the Eldred v. Ashcroft case, challenging Congress's decision to extend the terms of copyright by 20 years.
