Got this email this morning (after sending 800,000 emails for a client):

Does the fact that SpamAssassin thinks the "opt in" mail we send is SPAM make us spammers?

Yeah, it's spam, but since it's opt-in spam, that means that the recipients have asked to get the spam and should be able to filter it out of the way before treating it as spam. However, it isn't UCE (unsolicited comercial email). (your distinctions between spam and UCE may vary ;) -matt
