world of ends (and samurai)

[ #10941 ]

An interesting read:

Some mistakes we learn from. For example: Thinking that selling toys for pets on the Web is a great way to get rich. We're not going to do that again.

World of Ends: What the Internet Is and How to Stop Mistaking It for Something Else by Doc Searls and David Weinberger.

I quite often like to watch Samurai Jack. Sharp direction, gorgeous backdrops, a fast-paced score and witty dialog make this a cartoon not just for kids. The thing that really shows genius is the episodes that seem to have been written after a week of smoking peyote, such as Jack getting turned into a chicken, Jack infiltrating a rave to destory an evil DJ, and the flatulent dragon.
