Python modules are 4 times more useful than Perl modules
I just bumped into
this blog entry showing that the number of packages of the 4 P languages:
- Perl (11643) http://cpan.org/
- Python (2392) http://cheeseshop.python.org/pypi
- Ruby (1587) http://raa.ruby-lang.org/
- PHP (442) http://pear.php.net/packages.php
and the conclusion:
python modules are over 4x more useful than perl ones
and probably also that
python have more problems solved than Ruby and PHP together...
I know, I was never good at statistics...
