OS and Browser statistics

[ #21124 ]
After years neglecting the web server logs today I setup a log analyzer called awstats. Some interesting statistics from my totally unrepresentive data:

Operating Systems

  • Windows 85.1 %
  • Linux 6.7 %
  • Unknown 5.8 %
  • Macintosh 1.1 %
  • ...

Browsers

  • MS Internet Explorer 72.8%
  • Mozilla 8.7 %
  • Firefox 7.7 %
  • Unknown 4.5 %
  • Opera 1.9 %
  • Netscape 1.5 %
  • Konqueror 0.9 %
  • ...

As I can see there is a large percentage of my visitors who use non-standard browsers on Windows.

Update:
I wrote a bit more about the results of my web server log file analysis
