I was in St. Louis this weekend, and was kicking myself for not picking up some prosciut from Volpi's, now I'm *really* unhappy about it - thanks a lot!
That sound you hear is me weeping into my Limoncello.
I take comfort that it's not from Parma, hence it's not "real" prosciut... Now I'm going to have to go to the local gourmet foods store, and pay an ungodly sum for a few slivers of the stuff. Dammit!

And to make things even better, it is a heritage breed that has been pastured on acorns, in the style of the prized jamón ibérico of Spain.
