Just in case you like to know, I'm currently full-time father of 2 kids, half-time Perl hacker, sort-of DJ, bicyclist, no longer dreadlocked and 33 years old

I'm also head of Vienna.pm [pm.org], maintainer of the CPANTS [perl.org] project, member of the TPF Grants Commitee [perlfoundation.org] and the YAPC Europe Foundation [yapceurope.org].

I've got stuff on CPAN [cpan.org], held various talks [domm.plix.at] and organised YAPC::Europe 2007 in Vienna [yapceurope.org].

Template::Plugin::KwikiFormat

[ #21470 ]

After long and not too successful attemps to come up with a way to let my non-techie co-workers mark up content in the various CMSs we are running, I think I finally found a nice solution: KwikiFormattingRules!

It's easy to understand (I hope), handles tables and is allready used by quite a few people.

The only downside is that we don't run Wikis (government employies and research scientists seem to prefere more strict schemes...)

So, after getting some helpful tips from Jooon on #kwiki, I packed up Template::Plugin::KwikiFormat, which lets you use KwikiFormatting in data rendered by Template::Toolkit. It should be on CPAN soon.

On a more un-Perlish note, I met up with Billy and Bob from London, who are staying in Vienna for some days. We met at Fluc for some beers and OpenGuides discussion. Maks and Regine arrived a bit later and I left them soon afterwards for a very great Attwenger-concert.
