Mandrake 9.0
I tried. I really, really tried to just upgrade 8.2 enough so that I had video card support. It was a hopeless mess of RPM and library dependencies that I was fed up with.
So, I did what any lazy person would do who just wants his OS *to work* - I installed the latest version of Mandrake.
Install was easy, KDE 3.0 gives me warm, fuzzy feelings (even it seems a tad more sluggish that 2.x) and I can now get back to programming.
