SUNpci issues
I've got a pci card in my machine that lets me run Windows within Solaris on a separate processor with its own ram. The problem is that I can't get it to work under Solaris 9 - the PROM needs to be updated.
Even then I'm not 100 percent sure that it would work - the software wasn't explicitly designed to work on Solaris 9 - I'm trusting a note posted to a Sun Help bulletin board. So now I get to decide if I want to mess with upgrading the prom, downgrade to Solaris 8, or just get a separate windows box. I'm leaning towards the last option.
