Here are a list of books I'd like to see updated or published:
RCS and CVS (ORA) - This would replace the RCS and SCCS book. Does *anyone* use SCCS any more? I think the SCCS section should be scrapped in favor of CVS.
Programming Ruby, 2nd Ed (AW) - The first edition is good but is missing some of the core class information.
Advanced Perl Programming, 2nd Ed. (ORA) - Ideas for this have been bandied about on use.perl. Will it ever see the light of day?
Writing Extensions in Ruby (???) - Lots of stuff is undocumented, often forcing people to dig into the source code at the moment.
Generally we try to play cards close to the chest until the book is closer to being a reality than simply signed. While there may be one or two general topics in common with the first edition, the current plan is that the second edition will be all new words.
