They didn't have The Lathe of Heaven at the bookstore, so I picked up The Left Hand of Darkness instead.

Disappointed (Score:2)
I liked The Lathe of Heaven a lot, but I couldn't get through The Left Hand of Darkness. After a couple of chapters, I just gave up and returned it to the library. To me, it was a crashing bore.
Write up a summary if you get the chance. It's not often I have such polar reactions to a single author, and I'm wondering what the rest of the book was like.
