Democrats and Demographics
Last three Democrats to win the White House:
- 1964: Lyndon Johnson (Texas)
- 1976: Jimmy Carter (Georgia)
- 1992: Bill Clinton (Arkansas)
Note to Democrats selecting their next nominee: are you noticing a trend here? Go with Southern charm instead of these uncharismatic Northerners. True, Al Gore is from Tennessee, but lacks anything resembling Southern charm - too stiff. Besides, he *almost* won.
The ol' West Coast + New England strategy just isn't going to cut it.
