James Lipton

[ #21111 ]
James Lipton, in case you haven't heard of him, does a great show called "Inside the Actor's Studio" where he does a pretty good one-on-one interview with just about any actor you can think of. It's not the usual "I'm just promoting my latest movie" crap. Sometimes it's deep. Often it's funny.

Probably the best one I ever saw was an extended interview with Mike Meyers. Oh...my...god - I almost fell off the couch laughing when he started doing impressions of his mother-in-law. Lots of other humor and generally a good interview.

I need to check out the website and see if I can get any of these on DVD or download them somehow.

  • The episode with Robin Williams is also wonderful. The cast of the simpsons, Samuel L Jackson, and Tom Hanks are all worth the time too. You're right, Inside the Actors studio is seriously good.

    • Cake or death...

That Eddie Izzard concert has to be one of the best comedy shows EVAR. I don't remember the last time I laughed so much.
