Solaris - The Movie
[
#14126
]
Last weekend I rented the sci-fi flick
Solaris
. It's slow, but definitely thought provoking I think. Sort of a
2001: A Space Odyssey
meets
Sphere
. Anyway, I enjoyed it, even if the critics didn't.

It was one of those Think Different movies (oh wait, will Apple sue me now??). I like movies you have to see on one of your bright moments.

Slow?
If it weren't for the credits... I would not have known when the movie was over.
You could have compressed the entire movie into about 15 minutes... then you would have the beginning of a good movie.
But, that is just my opinion...

Which version did you watch?
I haven't seen the
recent remake
[imdb.com] yet, but the
original version
[imdb.com] is one of my favourite films.

It was the recent remake. I haven't seen the original version, nor have I read the book. Prolly should (on both counts).
