Terminator 4

[ #13619 ]
rob_au quotes in his journal, "Always code as if the guy who ends up maintaining your code will be a violent psychopath who knows where you live". What if you're both the original coder *and* the violent psychopath?

Today, due to a bizarre set of circumstances, I'm sending a Terminator back 3 years to slap the shit out of myself for some gawdawful code I wrote back then which I now have to change.

If you're seeing this journal entry it must mean that he failed. Stupid cyborgs.

  • It's not bad code. It's a reminder of the way to do things right going forward. Don't be ashamed of the mistakes of the past. They're stepping stones to the present.
