FOSDEM Speakers Required

[ #22316 ]

Aside from the main conference at FOSDEM there are a number of "developer rooms" where developer communities can run their own mini-conference.

As I had such a good time at FOSDEM earlier this year I've booked a Perl Developer Room for next year's conference. Now I just have to fill two half days with interesting events.

So if you're going to be near Brussels at the end of February next year and would like to share some of your knowledge with a group of European Open Source types, then please let me know.

  • ..are chances that I'll be there, with some other Mandrakesoft employees and contributors. Could envision a small Perl talk :)

The FOSDEM site is awful, how can you find any information on developer rooms ?

  • I'll maybe (hopefully) show up there. My plan is to visit the Dutch Perl Workshop and travel on to FOSDEM. But I'll have to persuade my family to let me go (especially as the 26th February is my birthday..)
  • Dear god man, didn't you learn anything from seeing what a nervous wreck Mark was at the LPW?

Hmm, I don't generally do FOSDEM - too many damned Linux weenies for my taste - but if there's some decent perl nattering to be had I might come along. And if I do, no doubt I can mutter about something - Number::Phone, perhaps, or Data::Transactional.
