  I think my favorite signs at the New York demonstration were "Stop Mad Cowboy Disease" and "Peace is the New Black".

    I liked a sign that read in small print: "Except for ending slavery, fascism, nazism and communism", and then larger print: "WAR HAS NEVER SOLVED ANYTHING".

  Here in Minneapolis the organizers estimate 7,500 to 8,000, which sounds reasonable, though it could have been a little less too. It was still the biggest demo I've ever been to by quite a bit, since most of my activism has been in animal rights, where we consider 50 people a big protest ;)

    The organisers are saying 1,500,000. Even the police agree on 750,000.

    That's incredible.

    At least twice the size of anything I've been on before. It was amazing.
