Down Under

I made it to Sydney. Long flights suck, Qantas is good though. Sydney is a gorgeous city, I'd forgotten. Three hours after landing, I'm considering moving...

The SVG meeting has started. Those people seem really cool IRL as well. More on all this when I can actually think straight.

  • In my fantasy world, a whole bunch of Perl geeks get rich enough to retire to the South Pacific and East Pacific rim area. How many? Enough that twice-annual Perl conferences weren't unreasonable.

    • You do of course realise that were that to happen the choice of the organiser for those biannual conferences would naturally be ;)

      It's a lovely idea. I'd look forward to a summer conf say on Bondi beach, and a winter one skiing in the NZ Alps...
