In case you are like me, read the PAUSE docs and text the first time you went there ages ago, and have since then not looked back, you might have forgotten about a cool little utility: cpan-upload.
Like most good things it's available from CPAN, in Neil Bowers' directory.
You can configure it once to remember your user name and password, and after
that uploading to PAUSE is as simple as "cpan-upload module.tar.gz". No more
entering your password a dozen times and using those browsers. I even wonder if
it couldn't be simply launched by make dist
