Template Toolkit cookbook

[ #1996 ]

Well, back at TPC 5 I said I'd be willing to assume the roll of "Documentation Manager" for Template Toolkit. It just so happened that the cookbook thing, the first thing I was supposed to do, came up on the mailing list recently.

So I took this opportunity to not take the easy way out. I put the challenge out there. I'm going to treat this like a real book project so the first thing I'm collecting from the community is Chapter proposals.

At least give me the name of the Chapter and, if you're so courageous, a small description of what it covers.

Send them to the TT list or to me directly at casey@geeknest.com.

I figure that by TPC 6 we could have a good first draft cookbook.

  • Have a chapter on writing your own classes (for Provider functions, for Factory (Directive) functions), etc.

Writing your own Plugin would be another chapter.
