Some more stuff regarding Euro Oscon

[ #27269 ]

During this week I had the oportunity to meet Damian Conway, Jeff Zucker, Jouke Visser, Nathan Torkington, Christian, Henrik Tougaard and many others.

I also got to see a lot of familiar faces: Aaron, Abigail, Allison, Autrijus, David Cross, David Adler, BooK, Jos, Larry, Leon, Marty, Merijn, etc. (it's really hard to list everybody here).

I saw well over thirty presentations... and I filled evaluation forms for every single one of them, which made it easier, I guess, for one of those randomly picked forms to be one of mine, which made me win a Griffin USB AirClick, on which you can expect a journal entry pretty soon :-)

People keep talking about the YAPC in Braga, which is great; several folks asked me when the next one was gonna be, and many others have talked to me about a Portuguese Perl Workshop... actually... someone even mentioned the possibility of a Braga Perl Workshop...

Who knows?

Anyway, I enjoyed this conference.

Next up: London Perl Workshop 2005.

  • Next up: London Perl Workshop 2005.
Are they doing that again this year? I heard it was a pretty stressful event to put together and a year might not be enough recoup. time.
    • Apparently they are, and I bet it's going to be better than last year.

The reason it hasn't been announced, I guess, is because they still don't have a venue booked, which makes it possible for the date not to be the one they expect it to be... but stay tuned, you'll probably see a CFP passing around in a couple of days/weeks :-)
